Committee Formation for Guidelines
The Apex Council expressed condolences for the tragic incidents in Ahmedabad and Bengaluru and decided to form a committee to create guidelines to prevent such occurrences in the future. The committee will be led by Mr. Devajit Saikia, Mr. Prabhtej Singh Bhatia, and Mr. Rajeev Shukla.
Working Groups for Umpires and Match Referees
A Working Group of 'Umpire Coaches' with international experience will be established to enhance umpires' on-field performance. Another Working Group comprising former Match Referees will monitor the development of match referees to improve their performance.
Upcoming Series and Domestic Season
The venues for India's white-ball home series against New Zealand in early 2026 have been confirmed. The BCCI Domestic Season 2025-26 has been approved with key changes and updates:
- The Duleep Trophy and Senior Women’s Challenger tournaments will now involve six zonal teams.
- Plate Group restructuring has been introduced across age categories.
- Promotion/relegation rules have been updated.
- Tournament formats have been revised with the inclusion of Super League stages and new grouping formats.
