LG recently celebrated the 127th Philippine Independence Day by launching the next generation of OLED and QNED TVs with Affectionate Intelligence. As part of this celebration, LG partnered with artist Isaiah Cacnio to create a groundbreaking digital art exhibit at the National Museum of Natural History.
The exhibit, titled “Fragments”, showcased the beauty and diversity of Philippine geography and identity through a collaboration of art, technology, and heritage. This solo art exhibition by Isaiah Cacnio is the first of its kind to be featured at the National Museum, highlighting the rich culture, heritage, and biodiversity of the Philippines.
This immersive exhibit utilized cutting-edge LG OLED display technology to reinterpret the Earth’s story, focusing on the geological and ecological richness of the Philippines. From volcanic origins to flowing water, the exhibit captured the natural forces that have shaped the country's landscape and people.
The exhibit, running for a month at the National Museum of Natural History, featured three digital pieces: “Where Fire Begins,” “Stories in Stone,” and “What Breaks, Flows”. These pieces, displayed on LG OLED AI TVs, blended art, science, and emotion to reflect the Philippines’ geological and cultural evolution.
Isaiah Cacnio expressed his honor in using LG OLED for his art, joining a global community of artists who have embraced this technology for creative expression. LG continues to support digital creators through LGOLEDArt.com, offering OLED as a canvas for immersive media art.
LG also reaffirmed its commitment to preserving Filipino culture by donating over ₱500,000 worth of display technology to the National Museum of Natural History. This donation includes LG StanbyME units, monitors, and the latest displays to enhance the museum experience for visitors.
LG’s donation reflects its dedication to blending technology, education, and cultural appreciation to enrich communities. This effort marks LG’s 12th consecutive year as the world’s No. 1 OLED TV brand, showcasing its commitment to honoring the past while embracing the future.
