South Africa wins ICC title by defeating Australia in World Test Championship final at Lords with brilliant performances.

After a 27-year drought, South Africa secured a major ICC title by defeating Australia in the World Test Championship final at Lords in London. The thrilling match concluded on Saturday, with South Africa winning by 5 wickets.

South Africa opted to field first, and their bowlers, led by Kagiso Rabada (5 for 51) and Marco Jansen (3 for 49), managed to dismiss defending champions Australia for 212. Steve Smith (66) and Beu Webster (72) were the top scorers for the Australian team.

Despite a strong batting performance from captain Temba Bavuma (36) and David Bedingham (45), South Africa was bowled out for 138 by Australian captain Pat Cummins (6 for 28), giving Australia a lead of 74 runs.

In the second innings, Kagiso Rabada once again shone with the ball, taking 4 for 59, while Lungi Ngidi supported him with 3 for 38. Australia was dismissed for 207, with Mitchell Starc (58) and Alex Carey (43) leading the scoring. A last-wicket partnership between Starc and Josh Hazlewood helped Australia cross the 200-run mark, setting South Africa a target of 282.

Chasing 282 in the fourth innings was a challenging task for the Proteas, especially after losing early wickets. Aiden Markram's brilliant 136 and Temba Bavuma's 66 steadied the ship, with the duo adding 144 runs for the third wicket. Despite some tense moments, South Africa managed to surpass the target, thanks to Markram's match-winning century.
