Downpatrick's Saturday jumps card has been called off due to unexpected heavy showers, leading to the cancellation of the seven-race event. The track's Sunday meeting will undergo a raceday inspection to determine if it can proceed.

A statement released on Saturday morning cited thundery downpours that rendered the track unsuitable for racing. Despite efforts to assess the conditions, the volume of rain left the track in poor condition.

Meanwhile, Sandown's card experienced a high number of non-runners, with 24 withdrawals reported before 11am. The track managed to avoid the worst of the forecasted showers, resulting in good to firm conditions. Only a minimal amount of rain fell during the previous day's meeting, with the majority of the heavy rainfall bypassing the course.
