Humidity levels in the city expected to touch 70-80 per cent.

Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted that Karachi will experience rain accompanied by a dust thunderstorm on Monday. The city is expected to be affected by a westerly wave in the upper parts of the country and moist currents in the eastern parts of the province.

Tomorrow, Karachi will have cloudy weather with temperatures ranging from 36–38 degrees Celsius. Humidity levels are forecasted to reach 70-80 per cent in the morning.

The weather advisory states, "Dust-thunderstorm/rain is likely in Karachi division tomorrow and at isolated places on the outskirts of Karachi division on Tuesday."

Today, parts of Sindh including Ghotki, Sukkur, Jacobabad, and others are expected to receive rain accompanied by dust thunderstorm at isolated places. The forecast also predicts light to moderate rainfall with dust thunderstorms on 16th-17th June.

Every year, Karachi faces flooding due to heavy rains, disrupting public life and safety. Last year, a state of emergency was declared by Mayor Karachi ahead of heavy rainfall. The aftermath of the five-day rain spell resulted in road washouts and significant damage to civic life.

Last month, heavy rains in Punjab led to the death of 13 civilians and injuries to 92 others.
