The Philippine Embassy in Israel provided assistance to a Filipino worker who survived a missile attack from Iran that struck residential houses in Ramat Gan City. The worker was inside a bomb shelter when the missile hit and is currently staying at a hotel in Tel Aviv. The embassy has assured more support and psychosocial assistance in the coming days.
The response team includes Vice Consul Teri Bautista, Labor Attaché Rodolfo Gabasan, and other embassy staff. Filipinos are reminded to seek shelter in protected spaces during missile alerts. Philippine Ambassador to Israel Aileen Mendiola mentioned the formation of a Crisis Management Team to provide relief, reactivate shelters, and prepare for repatriation.
Continued Strikes and Casualties
Reports indicate that Iranian missiles have struck central and northern Israel, resulting in eight deaths and 208 injuries. Approximately 50 rockets targeted central Israel, with casualties reported in Bat Yam and Rehovot areas near Tel Aviv. The strikes also caused severe damage to the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot.
In northern Israel, four individuals lost their lives, and 13 others were injured in the attacks. Buildings and streets near Haifa, Tamra, and Krayot suffered heavy damage. The Israeli army intercepted two drones near Eilat and stated that they are actively working to counter missile launches from Iran.
Earlier, Israeli forces targeted Iranian nuclear and missile facilities, resulting in retaliatory ballistic missile strikes from Iran across Israel. The situation remains tense as both countries engage in military actions.
