A UK Navy F-35 fighter jet had to make an emergency landing at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport in Kerala. The stealth aircraft, believed to have taken off from a British aircraft carrier in the region, landed safely around 9:30 PM after reporting low fuel mid-flight. Airport authorities quickly declared an emergency to ensure a smooth landing for the advanced combat aircraft.

Refueling will occur once approval is granted by the Central government for any foreign military aircraft operating in Indian airspace. The Indian Air Force (IAF) termed the landing as a routine diversion and provided necessary assistance, coordinating with relevant agencies. The F-35 Lightning II, developed by Lockheed Martin and used by key NATO allies, is among the most advanced fighter jets globally.
