Homicide detectives have been called in after a body was found in bushland in Sydney's west on Sunday afternoon. Officers attached to Nepean Police Area Command were called to a reserve off Irwin Street at Werrington, about 50km from Sydney's CBD, about 1.15pm. The area has now been sealed off and forensic experts sent in.
'A crime scene has been established and an investigation has commenced by Nepean detectives, who are being assisted by the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad,' said a police spokesman. 'A canvass of the area is now being conducted by local police, assisted by PolAir.'
