Tributes are pouring in following the news of the passing of Nightcrawlers legend John Reid at the age of 61. Originally from Glasgow, Reid was a talented producer, DJ, and vocalist known for his work as a songwriter. He co-wrote Tina Turner's hit single 'When the Heartache Is Over' in 1999, as well as songs for Rod Stewart and Westlife.

Reid, a former pupil of Crookston Castle, also collaborated on hits like 'A Moment Like This' for Kelly Clarkson and Leona Lewis. He worked with industry giants like Simon Cowell and Ian Levine, contributing to tracks for various artists including Eternal, Gemini, and Claire Richards.

One of Reid's biggest successes was the 90s hit 'Push The Feeling On' with Nightcrawlers, which later received popular remixes and became a club classic, solidifying his name in the 90s dance music scene.

Scottish TFX vocalist Mary Kiani, who was engaged to Reid for nine years, shared her memories of him, highlighting their musical journey together. Susan Boyle's vocal coach, Chris Judge, also paid tribute to Reid's talent and impact on the music industry.
