Hosts India will kickstart their campaign against Sri Lanka in Bengaluru on September 30

The ICC Women's World Cup 2025 is set to kick off with hosts India facing Sri Lanka in Bengaluru on September 30. The full schedule has been unveiled, with Colombo being allotted 11 round-robin games, including four of Sri Lanka's matches. All games will be day-night affairs starting at 3 PM IST.

Sri Lanka will have the chance to 'host' Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Bangladesh, and Pakistan in front of their home crowd in Colombo. The city is also a floating option for the semifinals and the final if Pakistan qualifies for the knockout stage.

Defending champions Australia will start their campaign against New Zealand on the second day of the tournament in Indore. India will play against Pakistan on October 5 and face Australia on October 12 in Vizag. Their final round-robin game will be against Bangladesh on October 26 in Bengaluru.

The top four teams from the round-robin stage will advance to the semifinals, with the first-placed team playing the fourth-placed team and the second-placed team facing the third-placed team.
