Amid the escalating conflict between Iran and Israel, Tehran has claimed that Pakistan would retaliate on its behalf in the event of a nuclear attack. However, Pakistan has refuted this claim. Pakistan's Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has dismissed the assertion made by Iran.

General Mohsen Rezaei, an IRGC commander and member of Iran's National Security Council, mentioned in a statement that Pakistan has agreed to support Iran and carry out a nuclear attack on Israel if the conflict escalates.

Speaking to Iranian state television, the general stated, 'Pakistan has informed us that if Israel deploys a nuclear weapon against Iran, then Pakistan will respond by attacking Israel with a nuclear weapon.'

However, Pakistan has denied these allegations. Pakistani Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has rejected the claim and clarified that Pakistan has not made any such commitment.

In a statement, Asif emphasized that Pakistan adheres to all international nuclear regulations. He stated, 'Our nuclear capability is intended for the defense of our people and country against the aggressive actions of our adversaries. We do not engage in hegemonic policies towards our neighbors, unlike Israel.'

The Pakistani leader also issued a caution to the international community, highlighting that Israel's nuclear capabilities are not constrained by any international agreements or arrangements.

As the conflict between Iran and Israel intensifies, Iran has launched a series of missile attacks and strikes against Israel, resulting in the deaths of at least 24 individuals. In Iran, around 224 people have been killed following Israel's unexpected attack on June 13, with a significant number of casualties being civilians, particularly women and children, according to the Iranian health ministry.
