Serious Road Collision in Galway Leaves Man Injured and Four Teens Hospitalized

Gardaí and emergency services attended the two-car collision, which took place on the Tubberjarlath Road (R332) at around 1.40am.

Early on Monday morning in Tuam, Co Galway, a man in his 30s was seriously injured in a road traffic collision. The incident occurred on the Tubberjarlath Road (R332) around 1.40am, with Gardaí and emergency services responding to the scene.

One of the drivers involved sustained serious injuries and was taken to University Hospital Galway for medical care. The other driver, a male in his late teens, and three female passengers in their late teens were also transported to the same hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The road where the collision took place remains closed as garda forensic collision investigators will be examining the scene on Monday. Local diversions have been put in place to redirect traffic.

Gardaí have requested any witnesses to the incident to step forward. They are particularly interested in individuals who may have camera footage, such as dash cam recordings, from the area between 1.15am and 1.50am.
