Serious Injuries in Two-Car Collision in Tuam, Galway

The collision happened on the Tubberjarlath Road (R332) in Tuam in the early hours of the morning.

A serious two-car collision in Co Galway has left a man in his 30s seriously injured and four teenagers hospitalized. The incident took place on the Tubberjarlath Road (R332) in Tuam around 1.40am.

Emergency services and Gardaí responded to the scene, where the man in his 30s was taken to University Hospital Galway for treatment of serious injuries. The other vehicle involved was driven by an adult male in his late teens, accompanied by three adult female passengers in their late teens, all of whom were taken to the same hospital for non life-threatening injuries.

The road remains closed as Garda Forensic Collision Investigators prepare to examine the area. Local diversions have been put in place. Gardaí are urging any witnesses to the collision to come forward.

Individuals with camera footage, including dash-cam recordings, who were in the vicinity between 1.15am and 1.50am are asked to provide this footage to authorities. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Tuam Garda Station, the Garda Confidential Line, or any Garda Station.

Investigations into the incident are currently ongoing.
