An Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner, flight AI-315, en route to Delhi from Hong Kong, had to return to Hong Kong airport on Monday morning due to a suspected technical problem. The crew detected the issue mid-air and decided to return as a precautionary measure to ensure passenger safety. The flight landed safely back in Hong Kong, and all passengers disembarked without any incidents.

The departure from Hong Kong was delayed by approximately 3.5 hours from its original schedule of 8:50 am. Air India is currently examining the aircraft with technical staff to address the issue. Alternative arrangements have been made to transport passengers to their destination in Delhi at the earliest.

This incident occurred just days after a tragic crash involving another Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner on June 12. The recent crash in Ahmedabad resulted in the loss of 241 lives onboard and 29 on the ground. Additionally, a recent flight from Delhi to Vadodara had to return to IGI Airport due to a suspected landing gear problem.
