The Canada Strong Pass, which runs until Sept. 2, offers free admission to national parks, national historic sites and marine conservation areas maintained by Parks Canada.

The Canada Strong Pass, which starts on Friday and runs until Sept. 2, provides complimentary access to national parks, national historic sites, and marine conservation areas maintained by Parks Canada. Additionally, it includes a 25% discount on camping fees at national parks.

The initiative, in line with a Liberal campaign pledge to boost Canadian tourism amid the U.S. tariff war, aims to encourage people to explore and appreciate the natural beauty, history, and culture of Canada.

During a press conference on Monday, Culture Minister Steven Guilbeault stated, "This pass is about discovering and reconnecting with the nature, history and culture of this remarkable country we all share and are proud to call our own. It's about enjoying the places and experiences that bring us together and make Canada strong."

The Canada Strong Pass also provides free admission to national museums for children under 17 and a 50% discount for individuals aged 18 to 24. Via Rail is offering complimentary fares for children under 17 accompanied by an adult, along with a 25% discount for 18 to 24-year-old passengers.

Moreover, some provincial and territorial museums and galleries are participating by offering free entry for minors and a 50% discount for visitors aged 18 to 24. There is no physical pass or registration required; visitors can simply show up at the designated locations.

Guilbeault mentioned that individuals who have already purchased park passes or made camping/Via Rail reservations can contact the respective agency for a refund.
