This is the way: NYC's Pedro Pascal lookalike contest crowned its winner on Sunday, with a Brooklyn dad taking home $50 and free burritos for a year.

Over the weekend, a Father's Day competition in NYC crowned George Gountas as the winner of the Pedro Pascal lookalike contest. Gountas, a Brooklyn dad, walked away with $50 and free burritos for a year after beating nearly 30 other contestants.

The event, organized by Son Del North's Mexican restaurant in the Lower East Side, drew in a lively crowd of fans waving Grogu dolls and signs. Gountas, who was brought to the contest by his family, was unanimously chosen as the champion.

Gountas' wife, Jenny Gania, revealed that her husband started receiving comparisons to Pascal after the actor's role in Game of Thrones. Even kids began noticing his resemblance to The Last of Us and The Mandalorian star.

Notably, Gountas, like Pascal, has a background in film and television as a lighting director. He has worked on The Daily Show and has credits as a lighting designer on various comedy specials.

The lookalike contest was organized by Annisha Garcia, chef and co-owner of Son Del North, in response to Pascal's comments about Mexican food in NYC. The event follows last year's Timothée Chalamet lookalike contest, which gained global attention and inspired similar competitions.

Chalamet and other celebrities, like Glen Powell, have taken their lookalike contests to the next level by involving winners in promotional activities and even offering cameo roles in upcoming projects. The trend of celebrity lookalike contests continues to grow, with winners gaining internet fame and unique opportunities.
