Bollywood Hungama was the first to report that the censor process of Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par faced a delay due to requested cuts by the CBFC. Aamir Khan and director RS Prasanna initially disagreed with the decision.

However, the latest update reveals that the film has now been approved by the CBFC, allowing it to release in theatres as scheduled on June 20. The details of how the consensus was reached remain undisclosed.

Starring Aamir Khan, Genelia Deshmukh, and 10 newcomers, including Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, and Samvit Desai, Sitaare Zameen Par is a production of Aamir Khan Productions. The film features lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya, music by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, and screenplay by Divy Nidhi Sharma. Produced by Aamir Khan, Aparna Purohit, B. Shrinivas Rao, and Ravi Bhagchandka, the movie is directed by R. S. Prasanna.
