The Trump Organization has announced the launch of a mobile service and smartphone bearing the president's name. Positioned as an alternative to major telecom companies, the new venture aims to attract conservative consumers with promises of American-made phones.

At the launch event in Trump Tower, Donald Trump Jr, the president's eldest son, revealed plans for a range of products including telemedicine, roadside assistance, and unlimited texting to 100 countries.

As the main holding entity for the president's business ventures, the Trump Organization stated that control of the company would be transferred to his children upon his return to the White House. This move mirrors the arrangement from Trump's first term, although concerns about potential conflicts of interest persist.

In addition to their traditional businesses in luxury hotels and golf resorts, the Trump family has expanded into digital media and cryptocurrency in recent years. The new Trump-branded smartphone, priced at $499 (£366), is set to launch in September with a monthly subscription plan of $47.45 (£35).
