The juror gave conflicting information about where he lived and has now been replaced.

The trial of Sean "Diddy" Combs is currently in its sixth week, and a juror has been replaced due to giving conflicting information about his place of residence. The juror initially stated he lived in the Bronx but later mentioned living in New Jersey with his girlfriend. This inconsistency led to his removal from the sex trafficking trial of rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs.

Combs, who is facing charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution, had his legal team oppose the decision to dismiss the juror. However, Judge Arun Subramanian found several inconsistencies in the juror's statements that raised concerns about his credibility and ability to follow instructions.

After discussions among the lawyers, the juror was replaced by a 57-year-old white father from Westchester. Lead prosecutor Maurene Comey had requested the dismissal of the juror due to what she described as a lack of candor in his responses about his living situation.

The juror had previously mentioned living in the Bronx with his fiancé and daughter during a prospective juror interview, but later stated he was staying in New Jersey with his girlfriend during the trial. These discrepancies in his statements led to his removal from the jury.

Combs' lawyer, Xavier Donaldson, objected to the judge's decision, emphasizing that it is common for New Yorkers to move between the city and New Jersey. Donaldson argued that the juror's inconsistencies did not necessarily equate to lying and that he believed the juror could still follow instructions.

The diversity of the jury was also a point of contention, with Donaldson highlighting the importance of having a diverse jury for the trial. He expressed concerns that dismissing the juror would be a step backward in terms of diversity and fairness in the trial.

Combs' legal team had requested a mistrial if the juror was dismissed, underscoring the significance of the juror's removal in the ongoing trial.
