Reid, a Glasgow-born producer and vocalist, was celebrated for his contributions to hit songs like Unbreakable by Westlife and Push The Feeling On, a popular house track.

Throughout his career, Reid collaborated with renowned artists such as Simon Cowell and Ian Levine, co-writing songs for Tina Turner, Rod Stewart, Kelly Clarkson, and Leona Lewis. He also worked on tracks for Bad Boys Inc., Eternal, Gemini, and Claire Richards, including the holiday song My Heart Is Heading Home (This Christmas).

Mary Kiani, lead singer of The Time Frequency and Reid's former fiancée, shared the news of his sudden passing on social media. She reminisced about their time together, highlighting their musical journey and the success they achieved as The Nightcrawlers.

Chris Judge, singer of Red Hot Chilli Pipers, paid tribute to Reid, praising his soulful vocals on Nightcrawlers' hit song Push The Feeling On. Judge commended Reid's talent as a singer and songwriter, recalling his supportive nature towards emerging artists in the music industry.
