Local police believe the 39-year-old fashion designer was an innocent bystander in the shooting.

Arthur Folasa Ah Loo, a 39-year-old fashion designer and former 'Project Runway' contestant, tragically lost his life as an innocent bystander during a 'No Kings' protest. Local police believe that Ah Loo was the only fatality amidst thousands of protests against President Donald Trump that took place across the U.S. on Saturday.

An unidentified man, who seemed to be a peacekeeper at Salt Lake City's 'No Kings' protest, fired shots at Arthur Gamboa, who had aimed a rifle at the demonstrators. Unfortunately, Ah Loo was also hit by the gunfire and later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital, as confirmed by the Salt Lake City Police Department.

Ah Loo, who had no association with Gamboa, was simply a bystander at the wrong place and time and was not the intended target of the shooting, according to the authorities.

Following the incident, Gamboa, aged 24, sustained minor injuries and was subsequently arrested and charged with murder on Sunday.

The alleged shooter claimed to be a peacekeeper, volunteering to help defuse conflicts during the protest. He reported observing Gamboa separate from the marching protesters, move behind a wall, and then reveal a rifle, as mentioned by Salt Lake City Police Chief Brian Redd on Sunday.

Redd further explained that Gamboa proceeded to approach the protesters with his weapon, prompting the shooter to fire three shots in response. Unfortunately, the bullets hit both Gamboa and Ah Loo, who was an unintended victim caught in the crossfire within the nearby crowd.
