Britain's Emma Raducanu and Spain's Carlos Alcaraz are among the pairings planning to play in the new-look US Open mixed doubles event.

British number one Emma Raducanu and Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz are set to showcase their skills in the upcoming US Open mixed doubles event. They are among the exciting pairings confirmed for the tournament, which will also feature Jack Draper teaming up with Chinese world number four Zheng Qinwen. Other notable names like Novak Djokovic, Jannik Sinner, and Naomi Osaka are also on the entry list.

The US Open mixed doubles will take place on 19-20 August, just before the hard-court Grand Slam kicks off on 24 August. This decision by the United States Tennis Association to bring the mixed doubles event forward is seen as a bold and innovative move to attract more top singles players to participate.

While the 16 pairings announced by the USTA are not confirmed to compete, it does indicate a strong interest from the players involved. The entry deadline for players to confirm their participation is 28 July.
