In Tuguegarao City, Cagayan, Police Regional Office-2 Director Police Brig. Gen. Antonio P. Marallag Jr. announced that the school opening in Cagayan Valley was peaceful. A total of 3,879 PRO-2 personnel were deployed in public and private schools across the region to maintain order and ensure safety.

Additionally, eighty-eight Police Assistance Desks (PADs) were set up in school zones and transport hubs, with mobile and foot patrols conducted in collaboration with local authorities and educational institutions. Marallag commended the dedication of all PRO-2 personnel on duty for their efforts.

Marallag emphasized that the smooth start of classes was a result of effective deployment strategies and strong partnerships between the PNP, schools, LGUs, and the community. He expressed gratitude to everyone involved in ensuring a safe Balik-Eskwela 2025 and encouraged continued cooperation to safeguard the future of children.

He reassured the public that security measures will be maintained throughout the school year to promote uninterrupted learning in a secure environment.
