Prior to its international release on June 25 and North American debut on June 27, the film premiered in New York, where Pitt, his co-stars, drivers, and various celebrities graced the red carpet.

Directed by Joseph Kosinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, the movie features Pitt as Sonny Hayes, a former F1 driver who stages a comeback with the fictional APXGP team, partnering with rookie Joshua Pearce (played by Damson Idris).
