Samsung customers have been given a warning that their accounts may be deleted if they don't act now.

Samsung has recently sent out emails to its customers, alerting them about 'important changes' to their accounts. Users have been warned that failure to take action may result in their accounts being deleted.

The tech giant is following in the footsteps of Google, which began deleting inactive accounts back in 2023. The email sent by Samsung informs users that their data is at risk of deletion if they do not access their accounts promptly.

The message specifies that accounts inactive for twenty-four months will be considered for deletion, leading to restricted access and loss of all associated data. Users are urged to log in to their accounts to prevent this from happening.

Accounts that have not been accessed in the past two years will receive this warning email. Users have until July 31 to log in and prevent the deletion of data such as Samsung Cloud data, photos, backups, wallet and health details, apps, and more.

For users who do not receive the email, their accounts are safe for now but may still be subject to deletion in the future.
