Over 100 new jobs will be created in Galway over the next three years after healthcare company Neurent Medical opened its new facility in Oranmore.

Neurent Medical recently opened a new facility in Oranmore, Galway, which is set to create over 100 new jobs in the next three years. The state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, located in Westlink Commercial Park, will serve as the central hub for producing the company's Neuromark system.

The Neuromark system is a minimally invasive medical device designed to target the underlying drivers of chronic rhinitis. The new jobs will cover various functions such as engineering, quality control, operations, supply chain management, and sales and marketing.

Originally part of the Enterprise Ireland-supported BioInnovate Ireland Programme, Neurent Medical has quickly transitioned from concept to commercialization, becoming one of Ireland's success stories in the MedTech industry.

The opening event was attended by Galway West TD Hildegarde Naughton and executive director and incoming CEO of Enterprise Ireland Jenny Melia. Neurent Medical CEO Brian Shields expressed pride in upgrading operations in Galway, the company's headquarters.

According to Shields, the new facility will meet the increasing demand for NEUROMARK while providing high-skilled job opportunities and contributing to the economic growth of the region. The company aims to leverage local talent to deliver Irish-engineered MedTech innovation globally.

Executive director Jenny Melia highlighted that the new jobs at the Oranmore base demonstrate Ireland's leadership in research and development within the medical device sector. Enterprise Ireland will continue to support Neurent Medical in scaling internationally to create and sustain jobs in the Galway area.

Deputy Naughton emphasized that Galway is a hub for top MedTech companies globally and commended Neurent Medical for its growth and success in the US market. She expressed confidence in the company's future achievements.
