The Irish winner of the enormous €250m Euromillions jackpot – the biggest Irish lottery win in history – bought their ticket in a shop in Munster, it can be confirmed.

The record-breaking €250m EuroMillions jackpot winner, the largest in Irish lottery history, bought their ticket in a shop in Munster, according to the National Lottery.

The winning numbers were 13, 22, 23, 44, 49 with Lucky Stars 3 and 5. The location where the ticket was sold has not been disclosed yet, but the National Lottery advises the winner to seek legal and financial advice and contact them promptly.

This win surpasses the previous record of €175m awarded to an Irish player in February 2019. The jackpot is capped at €250m, making this the highest-ever win in an Irish National Lottery game.

The lucky winner, Ireland's 18th EuroMillions winner, is yet to come forward. The first Irish EuroMillions winner, Dolores McNamara from Limerick, won over €115 million in 2005. The National Lottery's prize claims team is awaiting contact from the winner.

It is unknown if the winning ticket was purchased by an individual or a syndicate. National Lottery CEO Cian Murphy advises the winner to remain calm, seek legal and financial advice, and contact them promptly to start the claims process.

Over 92,200 players in Ireland won prizes in the EuroMillions and Plus games last night. One player in Wexford won €500,000 in the Plus draw, and 10 players won €5,000 each in the raffle prize.
