Electric Ombudsman made a strong finish to overtake Anmaat and give trainers John and Thady Gosden their fourth win at this year's Royal Ascot.

Ombudsman, settling at the back of the field, capitalized on a tactical error from Ballydoyle, with Continuous and favorite Los Angeles fading in the final stages after leading the race.

While the Gosdens had a successful run at the royal meeting with previous wins from Field Of Gold, French Master, and Crimson Advocate, this victory marked William Buick's first win of the week after facing setbacks in earlier races.

Three of the top four finishers - Ombudsman, Anmaat, and Map Of Stars - were at the back until the home straight, while See The Fire, finishing third, had raced in the middle of the pack.

John Gosden, the joint-trainer, mentioned that the plan was to stay off the pace, and the strong pace benefited their strategy. William Buick's patience and Ombudsman's remarkable turn of foot were key to their success.

William Buick expressed his joy at winning at Royal Ascot, praising Ombudsman's performance in a tough race. He highlighted the horse's ability to accelerate and handle the fast pace of the race.

Owen Burrows, trainer of Anmaat, acknowledged the strong performance of John's horse, while Andrew Balding, trainer of See The Fire, was pleased with the mare's Group 1 placement.

Following the Prince of Wales's Stakes, Ombudsman's odds for the Coral-Eclipse have shortened, making him the second favorite at 4-1, with Sosie leading at 3-1 for the upcoming race.
