The lucky winner of the €250 million EuroMillions draw purchased their winning ticket in Munster. The jackpot had been rolling over since reaching its maximum cap on June 6th. The winning numbers were 13, 22, 23, 44, 49, with Lucky Stars 3 and 5.
A spokesperson for the National Lottery disclosed the location of the winning ticket and urged all EuroMillions players in Munster to check their tickets. This marks the 18th time a EuroMillions jackpot winning ticket has been sold in Ireland.
The previous record win was €175 million in February 2019, sold at Reilly’s Daybreak in Co Dublin. Additionally, a EuroMillions Plus player in Co. Wexford won €500,000 by matching all five winning numbers.
The winner is advised to sign the back of the ticket, keep it safe, and contact the National Lottery’s claims team. Financial and legal advice is recommended due to the life-changing nature of the prize.
Notable past winners include Dolores McNamara from Limerick in 2005, a Co Mayo family in 2020, and a winner in Co Tipperary in 2022.
