India has initiated Operation Sindhu to evacuate Indian nationals stranded in Iran due to the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel. The Ministry of External Affairs stated that the government has been actively ensuring the safety and security of Indian citizens in Iran.

Under Operation Sindhu, the Indian Embassy successfully evacuated 110 students from Northern Iran through Armenia. They departed from Yerevan on a special flight and are expected to arrive in New Delhi on June 19.

Additionally, the Ministry of External Affairs has provided emergency helpline numbers for contacting the Embassy of India in Tehran. These include phone numbers, WhatsApp contacts, and email addresses for assistance. Furthermore, a 24x7 control room has been established in New Delhi to address issues faced by Indians in Iran and their families.
