Beat Games, the studio behind Beat Saber, has announced that they will no longer be supporting the PSVR2 and PSVR versions of their popular rhythm game, effective immediately.

Starting this month, the team will not be providing new content or updates for the two PlayStation versions. While players can still enjoy the game and purchase it from the PS Store, no new songs will be released for the PS5 and PS4 editions. Additionally, multiplayer will be disabled on January 21, 2026.

Beat Saber has been one of the most popular VR games across all platforms for years. The decision to drop support for the PlayStation versions is to allow the developer to focus on the future and plan the next big update for the game.

The studio expressed their excitement for what lies ahead, stating, "We are excited about the possibilities that lie ahead and what we can bring to Beat Saber fans who have been on this journey with us over the past 7 years."

Since its launch, Beat Saber has received numerous songs and music packs featuring artists like Billie Eilish, Green Day, and Lady Gaga. Beat Games thanked fans for their support over the years and teased upcoming plans for the game.
