Ascot is a significant event in the royal social calendar, attracting many eager royal watchers hoping to see the family in their elegant attire. The annual racing festival began with King Charles, Camilla, and Zara Tindall among the royals in attendance.

On Wednesday, expectations were high for the Prince and Princess of Wales to be present, but Kate Middleton withdrew just hours before the carriage parade. Initially included in the second carriage with William and Mr. and Mrs. Justin Rose, Kate was later removed from the list, and William was moved to the first carriage alongside King Charles, Queen Camilla, and Prince Saud bin Khalid Al-Saud.

According to MailOnline, Kate's last-minute cancellation was due to her reluctance to immediately resume full-time royal duties following her cancer treatment. She is reportedly disappointed to miss the event but is focused on finding the right balance as she gradually returns to public engagements.

While Kate was absent from Ascot, her family members, including her mother Carole Middleton and sister-in-law Alizee Thevenet, attended the event. Carole looked elegant in a yellow lace dress with a large hat, while Alizee opted for a green and white checked dress paired with a coordinating hat and bag.

Irish stars Clodagh McKenna and presenter Ger Treacy were also spotted at Ascot, showcasing their style in vibrant outfits. The event was filled with fashionable guests, including sports presenters and racing enthusiasts, all dressed to impress.
