A series of powerful explosions rocked east Tehran on the sixth day of the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel, with at least five plumes of smoke visible in the eastern and southeastern parts of the Iranian capital. The Israeli military claimed responsibility for the attacks, targeting military sites in Tehran. The strikes occurred shortly after Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei dismissed US President Donald Trump's call for surrender in a televised address.

In his first public appearance since June 13, Khamenei warned against any US military intervention, stating that Iran would not back down in the face of threats. He criticized Israel for its aggression and rejected the idea of imposed peace, signaling that Iran would not engage in any ceasefire negotiations led by the US or Israel.
