This blog post discusses Marian Keyes' experience visiting the set of The Walsh Sisters, an upcoming RTE drama series based on her novels. Keyes was pleased to see the characters come to life off the page. The new series, set in Dublin, follows the lives of Anna, Rachel, Maggie, Claire, and Helen as they navigate various challenges.

The cast includes Louisa Harland, Stephanie Preissner, and Caroline Menton. While casting the five sisters was crucial, Keyes emphasizes that casting Luke Costello, Rachel's love interest, was a major concern. Actor Jay Duffy, son of Keith Duffy, ultimately landed the role, much to the relief of Keyes and fans.

In addition to The Walsh Sisters, Keyes' novel 'Grownups' is being adapted for Netflix. Screenwriter Samantha Strauss is leading the project, which will be filmed in Ireland. Keyes is excited about the adaptations but remains tight-lipped about further details, including casting.
