Netanyahu made these statements during a visit to the Soroka Medical Centre in Beer Sheva, which was damaged in Iranian strikes. He mentioned that the United States is playing a significant role in aiding Israel during the conflict with Iran, particularly in safeguarding Israeli skies and cities.

Addressing questions about Israel's stance on the Iranian regime, Netanyahu explained that while regime change could be a result, the ultimate decision lies with the Iranian people. He expressed that freedom comes at a cost and Israel may create conditions that could assist the Iranian people in their pursuit of freedom.

Furthermore, Israel has alleged that Iran deployed cluster munitions for the first time, making interception more challenging. These munitions explode in the atmosphere and release smaller missiles over a wide radius, posing difficulties for air defense systems.

In a separate development, former US President Donald Trump refuted claims that he had privately approved attack plans on Iran but delayed final authorization in hopes of deterring Iran's nuclear program. Trump dismissed these reports and stated that he was still deliberating on whether to proceed with a strike.
