The Philippine National Police (PNP) has recently announced a change in leadership for the two Police Regional Offices (PRO) in Mindanao. Major Joann Navarro, the spokesperson for PRO-10 (Northern Mindanao), revealed in an interview with reporters that Brig. Gen. Rolindo Suguilon has been designated as the Acting Director for PRO-10 as per the central office's directive.

Brig. General Jaysen de Guzman, the predecessor of Suguilon, will now assume the role of Director for PRO in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PRO-BAR). De Guzman is expected to oversee the upcoming parliamentary elections in October, pending any delays imposed by Congress, according to Navarro.

Navarro emphasized that the order is effective immediately, highlighting the Chief of PNP's preference for prompt action. A turnover ceremony between De Guzman, who took office as PRO-10 Director in September 2024, and Suguilon is scheduled for Friday.

Hailing from El Salvador, Misamis Oriental, Suguilon has held various significant positions in the past. His previous roles include Acting Director of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, Deputy Regional Director for Operations and Chief Regional Staff of Police Regional Office 11 (Davao Region), Acting Director of the Davao City Police Office, and Chief of the Regional Investigation and Detection Management Division of PRO-10.

Additionally, Suguilon has served as the Provincial Director of both the Misamis Occidental and Lanao del Norte Police Provincial Offices, as well as the Force Commander of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion-10. ()
