A streetcar operated by the Toronto Transit Commission derailed in downtown Toronto, leading to road closures and route diversions affecting three transit lines during the morning rush hour.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Bathurst and Dundas streets around 7:20 a.m., according to Toronto police.
Fortunately, there were no reported injuries as a result of the derailment.
Due to the road closures, authorities are advising drivers to seek alternative routes to avoid delays.
The disruption affected service on the 505 Dundas, 511 Bathurst, and 506 Carlton routes, but normal operations have since resumed on the 506 line.
Commuters can utilize shuttle buses to navigate the affected areas.
