Jackson's impressive performance included 21 disposals, 48 hitouts, 10 clearances, and three goals. Treacy, ending a goalless streak, added three majors to the scoreboard. This win marked Fremantle's fifth consecutive victory, bringing their record to 9-5.

Essendon, with a 6-8 record, faces challenges after their fourth straight loss. Jackson outshined Essendon's debutant Vigo Visentini, who managed 15 disposals and 17 hitouts but fell short against Fremantle's dominant ruckman.

Star midfielder Caleb Serong also stood out with 35 possessions, seven clearances, and two goals. Nat Fyfe, returning to the starting lineup, had a quiet game with only 11 disposals before being substituted out in the final quarter.

Essendon's Jye Caldwell and Darcy Parish recorded impressive stats, while Nate Caddy showcased moments of brilliance, including a spectacular mark in the second quarter.

Two crucial moments in the third quarter shifted the game's momentum. Archie Perkins' fumble cost Essendon a scoring opportunity, while Nathan O'Driscoll's courageous spoil led to a Serong goal, extending Fremantle's lead.

Visentini became Essendon's 11th debutant of the year, with seven first-year players featuring in the match against Fremantle.
