Reports have surfaced that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) mandated the inclusion of a quote from Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the film 'Sitaare Zameen Par', despite initial resistance from Aamir Khan. The Revising Committee enforced various phrase and visual changes to secure a U/A 13+ certificate for the movie, which has already generated significant revenue from advance bookings and is set to release as a spiritual sequel.

After the CBFC approved 'Sitaare Zameen Par' without any cuts, it was revealed that the board required the addition of a quote from PM Modi immediately following the opening disclaimer. Aamir Khan Productions faced uncertainty when the Censor Board demanded edits, including changing certain phrases, which Khan initially refused to accept. The Revising Committee, under the leadership of Waman Kendre, ultimately reviewed the film and instructed the removal of specific visuals before issuing a U/A 13+ certificate.

The film has already amassed Rs 1.55 crore from advance bookings, with over 39,000 tickets sold for the opening day. Directed by RS Prasanna and starring Genelia Deshmukh, 'Sitaare Zameen Par' is positioned as a spiritual sequel to the 2007 hit 'Taare Zameen Par', marking Aamir Khan's directorial debut.
