Esports News: Rockstar Games, known for its groundbreaking titles, has a history of canceled projects. These include a zombie survival game called Project Z, a Cold

Rockstar Games is renowned for its innovative and immersive titles, but not all of its projects have seen the light of day. Over the years, the company has quietly canceled some of its more ambitious games, some of which were close to completion. Here are five Rockstar games that were scrapped before being released, including a zombie survival game and a canceled GTA 5 expansion.

Bully 2

Development of Bully 2 began shortly after the success of the first game. A playable prototype with about 8 hours of content was created, and the game world was expected to be three times larger than the original. Despite years of work, Rockstar ultimately decided to abandon the project. Fans still clamor for a sequel to this day.

Project Z

Long before zombies became a popular gaming theme, Rockstar was working on Project Z. Set on a Scottish island enveloped in fog, the game involved scavenging for fuel and defending against zombies. Although the concept was ahead of its time, the project never progressed beyond the early stages of development.

Agent

Announced in 2009 as a PlayStation 3 exclusive, Agent was envisioned as a stealth-action game set in the Cold War era. Players would navigate a world of espionage in the 1970s. Despite teasers and speculation, Rockstar never showcased any gameplay, and the game was quietly shelved years later.

GTA 5 Expansions

Originally, Rockstar planned to release five single-player expansions for GTA 5, including a zombie-themed episode, an alien invasion sci-fi, and a Liberty City crossover titled LibertyV. The most developed expansion, centered around Trevor, eventually became the Doomsday Heist in GTA Online. The other expansions were scrapped as the company shifted its focus to online content.

The Warriors 2: We Are the Mods

A spiritual successor to The Warriors, this game was set in 1960s England and revolved around street battles between Mods and Rockers. Initially intended for the PS2 before transitioning to the Xbox 360, the project was ultimately canceled before reaching completion.

Behind Rockstar's blockbuster franchises lie several intriguing games that never made it to players. Whether in the form of a zombie survival concept or long-awaited sequels, these canceled projects are part of Rockstar's lesser-known development history and continue to pique the interest of fans.
