JoJo Siwa made a surprising decision to cancel her performance at the Pride celebration in Chicago. The announcement was made by Back Lot Bash Chicago on their Instagram Stories early Saturday morning.

The organization stated, 'Due to a scheduling conflict, JoJo Siwa will no longer be performing at Chicago's Back Lot Bash,' without providing further details.

This news comes shortly after the 22-year-old singer, who identifies as queer, disclosed to the Daily Mail that she felt pressured into labeling herself as a lesbian.

Siwa shared, 'When I came out at 17, I said: “I’m pansexual, because I don’t care [about gender]." But then I kind of boxed myself in and I said: “I’m a lesbian.” And I think I did that because of pressure.'

She continued, 'In a weird way, I think [the pressure] came a little bit from inside the [LGBTQ] community at times. From people I know, from partners I’ve had. You just get put in this world where you feel like, because you now have said, “Oh, I’m a lesbian”, you have to be a lesbian. And the truth is, sexuality is fluid.'

Siwa is currently in a relationship with UK TV presenter Chris Hughes, 32, whom she met while competing on Celebrity Big Brother UK. The two have recently gone public with their romance.

Despite speculation that their relationship is for publicity, Siwa clarified that their happiness is genuine. She expressed, 'Clearly, you’ve never been around us. I won’t ever speak for him, but for me personally, the happiness in my life just radiates off of me right now.'

Following the cancellation of her US tour and news of being dropped by Columbia Records, Siwa hinted at more European tour dates being added soon. Fans who purchased tickets for the postponed US shows will receive refunds.
