The match saw Kildare dominate from start to finish, withstanding a late Armagh surge to claim a historic victory.

Armagh faced challenges with key players missing, but Kildare's performance was impressive, showcasing a strong team effort.

Throughout the game, Kildare displayed excellent defense and had nine different scorers, while Armagh struggled to keep up, managing only 1-03 from play.

Caroline O'Hanlon, Ruth Sargent, and Gillian Wheeler exchanged scores early on, with Kildare pulling ahead through Lara Curran and Alannah Prizeman.

Despite being reduced to 14 players towards the end of the first half, Kildare and Armagh went into halftime level at 0-06 each.

The second half saw Kildare take the lead early on, with captain Laoise Lenehan extending their advantage. Both teams missed scoring opportunities before Kildare's Niamh Reel and Mia Ryan secured crucial points.

Kildare sealed the win with a goal from Lenehan and maintained their lead despite Armagh's efforts, ultimately emerging victorious.

Armagh's season came to an end as Kildare's strong performance secured their place in the next round of the championship.
