Waterford advanced to the TG4 Ladies All-Ireland senior championship quarter-final with victory over Leitrim in Avant Money Páirc Seán MacDiarmada.

Waterford secured their place in the TG4 Ladies All-Ireland senior championship quarter-final with a dominant 6-16 to 3-04 victory over Leitrim at Avant Money Páirc Seán MacDiarmada.

Despite a valiant effort from Leitrim, Waterford's strong performance ensured a comfortable passage to the last eight.

In the early minutes, Leitrim goalkeeper Michelle Guckian made two crucial saves to deny Lauren McGregor and Katie Murray.

After some early exchanges of points, Waterford's Karen McGrath found the back of the net in the 16th minute to give her team the lead.

Waterford extended their advantage in the 22nd minute with a goal from Katie Murray, taking advantage of Guckian being out of position.

Leitrim managed to pull one back with a goal from Laura O'Dowd just before halftime, but Waterford still led comfortably at the break.

Waterford continued their strong performance in the second half, with Brid McMaugh and Lauren McGregor adding to the goal tally.

Despite Leitrim's efforts, Waterford maintained their lead with impressive performances from their substitutes, including Megan Dunford and Aileen Wall.

Overall, it was a resounding win for Waterford, showcasing their strength and determination throughout the game.
