Peter Tsekenis’s insane SBF gets a freshen up from BK Race Engines, with sights set on Drag Challenge

Peter Tsekenis’s ANMLXY is a high-performing, all-motor Falcon that has made a mark in Australia. With an impressive quarter-mile time of 8.44 seconds without any forced induction, this car is a true powerhouse on the street.

The heart of this beast is a 462ci Clevor engine that churns out a mind-blowing 1060hp. While not originally designed for street use, BK Race Engines, led by Bill Kaglatzis, is pushing the boundaries to make it happen.

After two years of racing and with the Street Machine Drag Challenge in sight, the decision was made to test the engine's capabilities on the street before giving it a much-needed refresh.

During the street trials, the valvetrain proved to be robust, handling the power with over an inch of valve lift and 1070lb of spring pressure. However, higher oil temperatures prompted the team to switch to a dry-sump system for better cooling.

Building a small-block Ford engine that produces over 1000hp is no easy feat. Starting with a Dart Windsor block, Callies crank, Oliver rods, and Diamond pistons, the 462ci engine boasts a 15.5:1 compression ratio, requiring E85 fuel for street driving and VP Racing C85 at the track.

The camshaft, lifters, pushrods, and rockers are all carefully selected and optimized for maximum performance. The CID SC2 heads, paired with a CID intake manifold and a specially tuned billet APD carburetor, contribute to the engine's impressive power output.

Working closely with APD on carburetor development, BK Race Engines fine-tuned the fuel delivery system for optimal performance. With their eyes set on conquering the Drag Challenge, the team is determined to push the limits of this high-performance machine.
