Sitaare Zameen Par, directed by RS Prasanna and starring Aamir Khan and Genelia Deshmukh, hit the theaters on Friday. The film, which is a spiritual sequel to the 2007 hit Taare Zameen Par, has managed to collect ₹30.42 crore net at the Indian box office, according to Sacnilk. On its second day, the film saw an improvement, earning an estimated ₹19.72 crore net, bringing its total collection in India to over ₹30 crore. This is a significant increase from the ₹10.7 crore net it earned on its opening day.

Compared to Aamir Khan's previous film, Laal Singh Chaddha, Sitaare Zameen Par has performed better in the first two days. While Laal Singh Chaddha earned ₹18.96 crore net in the same time frame, other films like Sky Force and Kesari Chapter 2 earned ₹34.25 crore and ₹17.5 crore respectively.

About Sitaare Zameen Par

Sitaare Zameen Par follows the story of Gulshan (Aamir Khan), a disgraced basketball coach who is required by the court to train a group of neurodivergent individuals after a DUI incident. Initially skeptical and offensive, Gulshan undergoes a transformation as he interacts with these individuals. Genelia Deshmukh plays Sunita, his wife in the film.

The movie also marks the debut of several young actors including Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishnan Varma, Vedant Sharmaa, Naman Misra, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Ashish Pendse, Samvit Desai, Simran Mangeshkar, and Aayush Bhansali. The ensemble cast includes Dolly Ahluwalia, Gurpal Singh, Brijendra Kala, and Ankita Sehgal.

The Hindustan Times review of the film praises Aamir Khan's performance, stating that he excels in comedy and shares great chemistry with his co-stars.
