Residents of Block 5 Holland Close came together to help each other after a fire broke out in one of the flats, catching many off guard. The incident occurred on the 23rd floor of the building, leaving residents shocked and uncertain of the situation.

Mr. Nakul K., a resident who had recently moved in, recounted how his next-door neighbor alerted everyone about the fire. As they waited for firefighters to arrive, they were unaware of the severity of the situation, assuming it was a minor incident. However, it wasn't until they were evacuated and saw the flames that they realized the extent of the fire.

Despite the chaos, residents banded together to assist in any way they could. They helped the firefighters connect hoses to the water supply and later joined forces to clean up the aftermath of the fire, scrubbing soot off doors and ceilings.

Minister for Defence Chan Chun Sing, who represents the area, was present to offer support and reassurance to affected residents. The Singapore Civil Defence Force reported that two individuals were treated for smoke inhalation, while two firefighters were hospitalized for heat exhaustion but have since been discharged.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, leaving residents grateful for the support and unity displayed during the challenging time.
