The flight, coming from Mashhad city of Iran, landed safely at the Indira Gandhi International Airport at 4:30 pm on Saturday, the Ministry of External Affairs said.

Amid the Israel-Iran conflict, a flight carrying 310 Indian nationals from Iran safely landed in New Delhi on Saturday as part of the ongoing evacuation efforts by the Indian government. The Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson, Randhir Jaiswal, confirmed the arrival of the flight from Mashhad city at the Indira Gandhi International Airport at 4:30 pm.

With this latest arrival, a total of 827 Indian citizens have been successfully evacuated from Iran. This marks the third flight within 24 hours to bring back Indian nationals under Operation Sindhu.

Earlier on the same day, another evacuation flight operated by Mahan Air transported 256 Indian students, primarily from the Kashmir valley, who were stranded in Iran due to the escalating tensions in the region. The safe return of these students brought relief to their families as they landed in India.

According to reports, the students arriving in New Delhi appeared visibly exhausted but relieved to have escaped the conflict zones where Israel and Iran have been engaged in strikes against each other.

The Jammu and Kashmir Students' Association expressed gratitude towards the Indian government for its efforts in evacuating the students. They emphasized the importance of ensuring the safe return of all remaining students, especially those from vulnerable and remote areas.

Operation Sindhu, initiated by the Ministry of External Affairs in response to the Israel-Iran conflict, aims to facilitate the evacuation of Indian nationals from Iran. The Indian authorities, in collaboration with Iranian officials, have been coordinating the movement of stranded individuals from Tehran to Mashhad before their repatriation.

As a gesture of support, Iran has also allowed the use of its airspace for the evacuation flights under Operation Sindhu. Nearly 1,000 Indian citizens are expected to be brought back home through these special flights, with two additional flights, including one from Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, scheduled for arrival soon.
