A tragic incident occurred in Co Clare this morning as a man in his 60s was hit by a tractor and sadly passed away.
The accident took place on the L7006 at Kilmurry in Sixmilebridge shortly after 10.15am.
Upon arrival, the man was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has been transferred to University Hospital Limerick.
The Coroner has been notified, and a post-mortem examination is scheduled to determine the cause of death.
Authorities have closed the road for a thorough investigation by garda forensic collision experts.
Police are urging any witnesses to the incident to come forward.
Individuals with camera footage, such as dash-cam recordings, who were in the vicinity between 10am and 10.15am are requested to provide this evidence to the investigating authorities.
