Says "now is the time for peace" after his military bombs Fordow, Natanz and Esfahan sites.

President Donald Trump announced on Saturday that the US military has carried out a "very successful attack" on three Iranian nuclear sites, which included the underground uranium enrichment facility at Fordo.

Trump made this declaration on his Truth Social platform, stating that a full payload of bombs was dropped on the primary site, Fordow. He also confirmed that all planes involved in the attack returned safely.

Just two days prior, Trump had mentioned the possibility of joining Israel in attacking Iran, and this recent move by the US comes after Israel's wide-scale air strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities and military sites on June 13.

The US operation, which involved B-2 bombers, aimed to deter Tehran's nuclear ambitions. Trump emphasized the significance of this moment, calling for peace and urging Iran to end the conflict.

Despite Iran's denial of seeking nuclear weapons and claiming its program is for civilian purposes, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reported Tehran's breach of non-proliferation obligations last week.

While Iran had threatened retaliation against US forces in the Middle East, a US intelligence assessment revealed that Iran was not actively pursuing a nuclear weapon program and was far from producing one.

Israel, the only country in the Middle East believed to possess nuclear weapons, neither confirms nor denies this fact.
