During Dua Lipa's recent tour in Australia, she paid tribute to different Australian artists at each show. This tradition continued in London as part of her Radical Optimism tour, where Dua Lipa surprised the audience by inviting Jamiroquai to perform their 1996 hit 'Virtual Insanity'.
Lipa expressed her excitement to the sold-out crowd at Wembley Stadium, reminiscing about her first London show 10 years ago in front of just 350 people. She described the moment as a dream come true to perform in front of 70,000 people.
For her London gig, Lipa wanted to honor an artist who inspired her and paved the way for British music. She introduced Jay Kay from Jamiroquai, who joined her on stage wearing his signature bold hat. The two artists, along with Lipa's band, delivered a captivating performance of 'Virtual Insanity'.
Throughout her tour in Australia and New Zealand, Dua Lipa covered songs by AC/DC, Lorde, and Kylie Minogue, and surprised fans with guest appearances by Troye Sivan, Tame Impala, and Neil Finn from Crowded House. As the tour moved to Europe, Lipa continued to include local covers, such as Enrique Iglesias' 'Hero' in Madrid.
Following her performance at Wembley Stadium, Dua Lipa is set to take the stage again on Saturday night with the possibility of another cover or guest appearance. She will then wrap up the European leg of her tour in Liverpool and Dublin before kicking off a North American tour in September.
